The bar stool / counter stool you design will be completely built and assembled in the traditional carpenter way, with tenons and mortises, dowels and carpenter glue. We don’t use any type of metal connector like our competitors do, the chairs would arrive loose or get loose overtime. You will receive your handcrafted barstool at the door of your house ready to enjoy.
The woods we offer are: walnut, mahogany, cherry, hard maple and white oak
The finishes are: distressed, lacquer and oil (Rubio Monocoat)
The lacquer finish is the traditional furniture finish. It is very durable and resistant. It consists of sanding down the wood and applying two coats of industrial sealer and two coats of satin lacquer. I use Gemini Vinyl Sealer and lacquer.
Distressed consists of wearing down the wood & marking it in ways to make it look old, we also apply wax for protection
A third option is oil finish, I use Rubio Monocoat. It has the same performance as the lacquer. It makes a beautiful flat finish and enhances the grain making them darker.
